Container gardening allows you to enjoy plants, flower bulbs and herbs in places where a traditional garden is not possible. Plants thrive on rooftops, decks, balconies, patios, stairs, windowsills and even on the doorstep of your home.

There are several different gardening methods to consider such as shade gardening, hydroponics, organic gardening, container gardening and companion planting. For instance, companion planting is a method based on the idea that certain plants can benefit others when planted near each other. Many plants have natural substances in their roots, flowers, leaves etc. that can repel and/or attract insects depending on your needs.
